Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
In many
ways 2001 marks a turning point for me: The Coro Kallos
commisioned work "Tir'd with All These", the Yokohama Jazzpromenade, TV and
radio shows, touring the Norwegian coast with Swedish jazz guitar
legend Rune Gustavsson, all leading to increased attention from the
public and the press. |

Tir'd with All These on CD in Japan. Odd-Arne's work continues to recieve attention and praise. Sometime early 2002, Tir'd with All These will be released on a CD alongside compositions by Palestrina and Arvo Part. Odd-Arne feels honoured to be in their company on this CD. |

December 19, 2001 | Odd-Arne's composition, Tir'd with All These,
and an interview with the artist, will be presented in
Norwegian radio channel P2's show Jungeltelegrafen
(Jungle Telegraph) some time in
January 2002. We'll post the exact time
on

The tour became a great success, especially the
Coro Kallos 20th Anniversary Concert featuring Odd-Arne's new
composition for mixed choire and gitar. We've recieved some pictures, placed
on Gallery 2, and there's more to come. |

Odd-Arne's gaining greater attention in Japan. We've confirmed he's playing the Yokohama Jazz Promenade, together with Haruna Miyake on piano, October 6, 2001. Miyake, being one of the leading music personalities in Japan, has previously worked with several of the world's best musicians: Bill Frisell, John Zorn, Wayne Shorter and Elliott Sharp, to name some. She is a composer as well as a piano player, with an extensive production. Currently, she works at the Ferris University in Japan, where she is a professor of piano. Haruna Miyake and Odd-Arne Jacobsen started their collaboration in 1995. Check out Blues for a Timeless Soul (OAJ - H.Miyake), performed live at the famous jazz club Pit Inn in Tokyo. During the year 2000, Odd-Arne has reached millions
of people in Japan and China through concerts and magazine articles.
In addition to
the interview in Japan's largest
guitar magazine Gendai Guitar,
the December edition of AV State of the Art,
a famous
Chinese music magazine read by more than 1.6 million people,
presents Odd-Arne Jacobsen and his Asia 2000 Project for the Chinese
people. Odd-Arne considers it a great honour to be the first Norwegian
